| The owner asked for a home that could be called an "Indiana" architectural style building. Bypassing the log cabin, Stone Cabin went to the traditional "stick style cupola" residence. A central atrium, or "thermal chimney", is centered in the main portion of the house offering natural ventilation to all the adjoining rooms. The building was then sited on a south-facing slope providing protection from winter wind and opening up the south to the sun and a fabulous view of the lake. |
